In this first edition is intended to honor the Group GICAPC COLORS, and emphasize the importance of an autonomous body attached to the University of Coimbra's Visual Arts: the CAPC (Circle of Plastic Arts of Coimbra). Belonged to this group artists as Armando Azevedo, António Barros, Teresa Loff, Rui Orphan, Tulia Saldanha, Manuela Fortuna, Alfredo Pinheiro Marques and Silvestre Pestana. Some of these elements have operated in a dominant Portuguese performance during the decades of 70/80/90 and contributed to that CAPC was considered at the time, the center of conceptual art in Portugal.
The programming of this first edition of the festival LINE UP ACTIONis based on six strands, and unscheduled actions, coming from the tradition of happenings in order to remain visible during the festival itself in the ontology of untimely performance art. The six structural aspects are the following: Performing Creations, Conferences / Communications / Video projections, Exhibitions, Workshops, Publishing and Internet.
